The Towns of Bloomfield and Simsbury held a ribbon cutting event on Friday morning, November 17, to celebrate the recently completed 1-mile portion of multi-use trail that connects Bloomfield to Tariffville.
The East Coast Greenway is a 3,000-mile multi-use trail that spans from Maine to Florida constructed for activities like biking, walking and running. Connecticut is home to 200 miles of the trail, 104 of which are protected and separate from the road. This newly completed portion connects the Town of Bloomfield to Tariffville and will serve as a vital non-motorized transportation link in the region.
