Information Technology & Innovation

The Office of Information Technology and Innovation (OITI) provides computer services and support to all the departments in Town Government while providing resourceful ways for our citizens to participate in local government. The Office also manages the Town's Geographic Information System, which is a means to digest data from many departments, map it, and provide that view to Town Agencies and the public.

The Department

  • Manages the Town department's wide-area and local-area networks
  • Purchases and maintains all hardware in the Town, including mainframe computers, switches, PC's, printers.
  • Develops and Supports applications throughout the Town
  • Provides Help Desk Support for the Town's 200+ employees
  • Manages, develops and troubleshoots the Town-wide MUNIS Software systems for Payroll, Collections and disbursements
  • Manages the town-wide phone service, both landline and wireless; coordinates departmental billing of all phone service, including schools.
  • Performing all system implementations, security, and the tactical and strategic planning for technology solutions and services to support Town functions.
  • High-priority customer support is provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, year-round.
