[ARCHIVED] Major Data Center Proposed for Bloomfield by NY Developer

Bloomfield

A New York-based developer has unveiled plans for a 1-million-square-foot data center in Bloomfield. Atlas Capital Group recently presented a conceptual proposal to the Planning and Zoning Commission for the development of a state-of-the-art, two-story data center at 132 Griffin Road North. The project would include over 900,000 square feet of data processing space and a 127,000-square-foot substation.

The proposed facility would bring new infrastructure and job opportunities to the area, with 40 employees expected and critical utility partnerships under discussion. Town officials responded positively to the concept, calling the project “worthy of consideration” if it aligns with the surrounding community.

This proposal reflects continued interest in Bloomfield’s development-ready parcels and reinforces the town’s appeal as a hub for technology and innovation.132-Griffin
