The Building Division promotes the health, safety and welfare of the community by ensuring that existing and future buildings and structures are safe for use. This is accomplished through quality plan review, inspections and the application of state-of-the-art technology by administering the provisions of the State Building Code, which provide the minimum requirements for a reasonable level of safety. The Building Division is also committed to providing a personal level of service to all of our citizens, contractors and Business neighbors.
Please note: The new state building codes will be in effect beginning October 1st, 2022. For more information, please see our Building Code and Other Outside Resources page.
