The Facilities Operations Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the management, maintenance, improvement, and operation of all non-Board of Education Town Facilities.
Services include:
Identifying building issues and potential improvements
Responding to occupant work requests
Engineering, planning, and executing building repairs and renovations
Engaging vendors and contractors to perform building-related projects and services
Managing capital projects from inception to completion
Creating and monitoring both operational and capital improvement budgets
Maintaining building Electrical, Mechanical, and Life Safety systems
Tracking utility costs and implementing energy saving controls where feasible
Building cleaning and janitorial maintenance
Working with building occupants and departments to plan space improvements, moves, adds, and changes
